New arrival....scope TBD. Pretty sure it will need everything, though.

Well it's about damn time somebody stepped up and bought that car!! It needs to see the road again. All you tire kickers missed out on a pretty solid numbers matching 70 Stage 1 car.

I don't see it on the option list on the Wayne Roberts report in the other thread, so I am curious if it came equipped with a consolette since this is a bucket seat/column shift car.

Trying to clear out space for another project as I'm not going to do GS455 convertible.. Looking for a Stage 1 or GTO Judge.

My (now) weekly Youtube video features the brown car....a little bit of walk-around with the car, then some how-to on removing stainless trim on the exterior. I'm really excited to get this car rolling...it's going back to Burnished Saddle with no vinyl top, and dark saddle interior....as it came from the factory! There will be some challenges with this project, but totally within my wheelhouse. Interior is already ordered, and the engine/trans is getting dropped off at their respective builders so they are ready when the car is.

I have a couple other big projects coming down the pike before I dive deep into this one, but I am getting some disassembly done on it while I have a gap in projects.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

Thanks, this is super helpful! I am going to need to get this stuff off my `1968.

I wonder about the belt line molding and window surround on my post car? It's that anodized Aluminum stuff... I would like to not destroy it.

    Thanks again!

    Pro tip:

Don’t try to remove the instrument cluster without just pulling the harness with it. I’ve tried to reinstall them with the harness already installed…it’s next to impossible.

Ive jumped into this car for a couple days while I wait for paint to arrive for the 57 Roadmaster. So disassembly continues on the dash and other small bolt-on parts that eventually have to come off anyway. I’m keeping the sheet metal together for now until I actually strip the paint. It’s much easier to peel the paint off the outer sheet metal when it’s attached to the car. Once outer stuff is stripped, I’ll blow it all apart. I think this one is going on the rotisserie.

Those who think they are saving a bunch of money by keeping it on the frame are selling themselves short. Assuming you don’t have to pay for the cost of a new or used rotisserie. The time saved by not having to lay on your back scraping crap off the underside of the car, restoring suspension, etc. It makes for a cleaner job, too.
