Are 70-72 nos fenders desirable? I’m familiar with the fact that they need worked to line up properly with the hood and the body lines aren’t quite right. I have a chance to buy a big bundle of parts including the fenders and just wanted to see if people were still interested in them given the above mentioned issues.
I like them personally. Yes, it's work to "fix" them but they look beautiful when done. Here's an example. If you do decide to sell them, lmk.
that color is beautiful, is it a factory color? and as well i will say the rims as well suit it, definitely wish you still had it!
Yea, I wish I still had it too. It is a factory color (Sherwood Green) w/green split bench (4-sp.) interior never did have a vinly top. That picture is from a subsequent owner - It had chrome Buick wheels on it when I sold it and it does now as well (it's currently in Germany) but those wheels do look good.
The way the light is on the front fender I wasn't sure. Emerald Mist Green was a Riviera color. Much like Stratomist Blue, it was available on the GS in 70. Thanks for the reply, beautiful "green" GS.
I've got 2 cars that were painted and the "expert" body people failed to correct the droop before painting. Pretty sad considering they talked me out of fixing nice original fenders on the cars with minor rust on bottom. This was years ago but it still burns me today....and they threw the old fenders in a dumpster.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the last run of fenders the only "bad" run? Maybe they are from back in the day and good?
They were purchased 20 years ago. I couldn’t get a good look at them.as they were in the rafters in his garage along with an nos core support.
I have a pair that were seemingly installed in the late '70's (NOS convertible quarters were still available) and are "bad."
