Anyone in to dirt racing or seen the WoO? They are coming to sharon speedway in hartford, ohio which is very close to me for the first time in about 14yrs. I have never seen them and am wondering what to expect as i usually watch the normal saturday racing on occasion
I have seen them at Lebanon Valley Speedway in NY. Average speed during qualifying was 137 mile an hour on a half mile dirt. They start 4 wide in the feature. The last time I saw them it was in the late 80's. Absolutely amazing and fast.
They put on an excellent show! I've been to many WoO races over the years, all produced some really good racing.
They run at the legendary Kokomo Speedway........ALWAYS a great race and experience.....you better go...and take some 6-12 year old kids....they will love it ! Peace WildBill
I love dirt racing! I will tell you what not to do. Do not buy a ice cream cone and stand next to the fence to where nobody is. You will find out your Ice cream cone is going to be full of dirt really really fast. It is a blast!
They are a blast to watch when they are racing. It's straight mayhem so naturally there are a lot of wrecks/ yellow flags.
Im certainly looking forward to it for sure!! Its going to be a great time as long as the weather is good for it. Hopefully i get to see a couple of my local sprint car buddies at this race as well
Been to every Kings Royal 1984 to 2019 at the famed Eldora Speedway,The Outlaws got rained out there last night, so they are having two shows Saturday.I’m packing up right now.
I'm assuming that the track is dirt - bring a pair of safety glasses that have side protection or wear goggles. It can sometimes get really dusty.
There was one time when i was younger and i went with my dad to a smaller sprint car show (the 360 patriot sprints) we had safety glasses just in case. Like john said it got really dusty so i put them on over top of my normal glasses. Right after i did that a pebble/ rock hit me right in the lense of my goggles. I thought to myself and chuckled slightly "what are the odds of that happening"
How about the BP in Hermitage on fridays or Lowellville in ohio on Mondays. We drive up from New Castle. Frank
Go Go. When I was in hight school my best friend and his big brother raced sprint cars. WE ran on other peoples junk. The WoO is like no other Sharon is a fast track. Hope the Kinsers are racing
Im about 5 mins away from the BP on E. state street by north keel ridge. Ive been to that cruise in quite a few times. Think ive been to Lowellville once when i was a younger. Do you come to tic toc (BP) most fridays?
Got the green light to leave work early that saturday and bought the tickets this evening. So now i just have to hope the weather holds out. Maybe craig kinser ( hope thats the right name) is racing did steve kinser retire?
