Moved to the big shop so I can get the rest of it assembled. I have some other body work jobs that need the small garage.

More progress. Waiting on an engine harness to wrap up the engine compartment. Chrome is supposed to be ready in another week or 2

It look good Adam! Missing POA clamp? What the hell is that toy car next to it? A power wheels thing, or something you got in your Christmas stocking?

All the clamps are there as far as I can see.

The black go cart is a 2013 Fiat Abarth ...turbo 4 cylinder manual. Lots of fun to drive! Not mine, though. Brother in law's first car. It's getting CV joints. A bit of a pain to deal with right now...been stuck on that lift for a while due to backordered parts. Surprise surprise!

I did. Just swapped the covers. Took about 2 hours each. Legendary covers:cool:

The headliner came in last evening. I had high hopes of getting it installed today so I could start slamming interior parts in. Well, I broke every one of the center clips for the small headliner bow. I had bought a set of the other ones, but didn't get the center bow clips. Now I wait another week for the parts. If it comes before Sunday, I can probably get it installed before I head to FL for the week.

I'm stuck on the build. Once the headliner goes in, I can completely install the interior. I have no chrome or stainless from the chrome guy, but he is hoping the end of this week. I'm waiting on a backordered engine wire harness so I can get the hood hinges and hood installed. Ugh.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

I have never installed a headliner, but have one in my future... Where do these clips go I assume they are plastic?

Before you know it you will have what you need and we all all be oohing and ahing over the finished beauty. Hang in there.

There are 9 or 10 total clips. 4 of them are for the larger bows, and they are only set in the center of the roof. The others are for one single skinny bow that runs across the center of the roof. I had bought the big clips, but neglected to get the ones for the small bow. And yes, they are plastic. Brittle little things...I even tried to harvest the ones off the parts car. Broke the first one and quit immediately.

There is literally less than a week of work left to do on this thing once I get all the parts. Then I get to start the test driving!

Chrome is home. I get to redo all of the stainless myself. They can chrome a bumper, but their stainless polishing is absolute dog sh!t. Live and learn...

Bumpers do look decent for sure. Shame on the stainless. Its one of the things I found when I was building my convertible 15 years ago (wow!), its just hard to find quality workmanship these days. A guy doesn't mind paying for good work, but when you pay good money and get not so great quality it is SO frustrating....and they say "well it looks good to me" "you're too fussy" "nobody else complains".... Looks like a few buffing wheels are in your future...On a good note just from the quick glances on the video the stainless looks to be good shape, not beat up or dented real bad, etc.

Thanks for the update. Keep on cruisin' that car is gonna be spectacular when its done....!!!

I have no problem doing the stainless, and I have the tools...but I was just trying to save a step in my end so I could get it done faster. Shame on me! LOL

And yes, the stainless is all really nice. I picked a few gems out of my pile to make sure they didn't have to work too hard on these.

Yup!! Shame on you!! LOL....lots of guys don't like the polishing etc it can get pretty messy and is time consuming. Absolutely no questions about your ability..sure looking forward to seeing that car completed!!

Highline Plating ...I was going to withhold their name but now that I know I have to completely start over on my stainless, screw 'em. He butchered it.
