Hello, Nice to hear her run after 8 months of work. I picked this up in May and went from trailer to garage and I started to tear her apart. Back to the way she should look. A few things to still work out.

Anyone ever use TA’s 1720 exhaust manifold gadgets in standard manifolds? I called them and they said they can be used for headers or stock manifolds and recommended these instead of the stock gaskets they sell. I was thinking I could cut them for a stock appearance.

Excellent job, must be in record time. If the exhaust manifolds were milled flat and the exhaust ports on the heads milled flat gaskets are not needed. We did that on Sandy's X in 1992 and it hasn't leaked yet and she drives and races it.

What a great transformation. Definitely time and money well spent.

Gary is correct about not needing gaskets. I’ve never used them with manifolds and never had a leak. But since your engine is already in the car you might be stuck with using gaskets.
