Big thanks to Tom and others on V8Buick who answers my questions about trying to get my worn-out Carter tuned to my rebuilt Nailhead. I certainly hope you recurved the distributor and reset the timing for more performance. That's a very good next step so that all you see is tire smoke when starting from a stop!
