Couldn't be happier with my AFB rebuilt by Tom Telesco

  1. Big thanks to Tom and others on V8Buick who answers my questions about trying to get my worn-out Carter tuned to my rebuilt Nailhead. I ended up sending my carburetor to Tom for rebuild, and wow, it has never driven better! Check out my videos below for the surprises I've had on this journey. From an exploded muffler, GoPro broken during filming, and finding a TOY CARROT in the gas tank, what a journey! Special thanks to Tom for letting me interview him for this video!

I certainly hope you recurved the distributor and reset the timing for more performance. That's a very good next step so that all you see is tire smoke when starting from a stop!

  5. The distributor, and a spare 1962 distributor, is with Tom as we speak!

I've also got a full write-up of the adventure I had on my website: https://1964buick.com/resto_logs/Carter_AFB_Rebuild/1964_Buick_Carter_AFB_Rebuild.htm. I should mention Tom completely rebuilt my carburetor a second time when I didn't know it was fuel delivery problem gratis. He really stands behind his work!
