In line for the marker lights and the engine lift plate....and the steering wheel, if it was something that would have come on a 1969 GS. ---Jeff
I don't believe it was an option on the GS line. It was on the base 'Special Deluxe" and Skylark models.
I did some checking and I think you're right, which is unfortunate because the batwing is a cool looking style. I will step out of line on it in case there is someone else who needs it. I am already being greedy enough by going with the lift plate and the marker lights.
In line for the batwing wheel & engine lift plate if @69GS430/TKX passes on it. Can send you a UPS label if easier.
Dano, the wheel is yours. I have a good box for it, just pm your address and I'll send it out Monday.
Sorry, Dano! I don't think I dare to remove another engine using the "bolt through a logging chain" method.
Engine 'carburetor removed' lift plates were originally designed for Cast Iron manifolds. The Mopar bible says not to use these on Aluminum manifolds. Check the rated load for these cast Aluminum bolt threads before lift off if you have them. Studs would be better than Chinese mystery bolts. Just sayin.
Thanks! That is good to know. My B4B already has one stripped out hole, that I think I fixed with a Helicoil. Don't want to do that again, let alone have the engine break loose and drop.
Dave, sent you a pm on shipping. I never even thought of the Performer intake threads when we installed the 455. That could've ended badly. Thanks for the heads up!
I will be needing jute padding when the time comes to do my package tray, the original fell apart when I removed it last year. I already had a new one in my shopping cart from one of the repro suppliers, but if no one has claimed yours yet, put me line while I do some measuring.... thanks!
