Yeah Lon It hardly has any options on it other than Automatic transmission. Good part is I don't have to chase down ultra rare, super expensive parts like a stage1 carb or something when restoring it.

@ginpolejumper sold a std. 455 4-sp. car w/o PS a few years ago. Don't remember what otjer options it did/didn't have.

My gold car came from the same dealership that ginpolejumpers 4 speed stage came from and I got one story from original owners kid but this ad makes me wonder. My packet is all there but no protecto plate? All else lines up, now I wonder if this is this car, it would explain the aftermarket air conditioner that probably cost more than factory ac and the fact that the ash tray couldn’t open but when I removed the ARA ac unit I opened the ash tray and it had butts in it. Please chime in if you have info , waiting to hear back from Wayne.

I just assumed yours was a '71. I've heard the story on the '70 Gold car (presumably from you & through the grapevine). Q-Q on the trim tag?

Yes it’s a QQ 70 x real car, never questioned the history until I saw that it’s from the same dealer as another one. I figure it would be rare for one dealer to get two, I wonder if the original owner wanted one and they found this one and dealer traded it. It has all the paperwork with original owners name on the dealer packet but no protecto plate. You can see the yellow peaking through in spots plus I had the build sheet out when I had my clock fixed, I put it back figured it was safe there for forty five years.

From another site: "The "missing" information for 1970 Flint built cars (VIN's above 193552)is in the possession of Wayne Roberts."
I thought I'd show this as it has the VIN break point.

So right before Christmas I got the paperwork from Wayne on my gold x. The invoice was 5/04/70 it’s the 411th one produced. I was wondering if it was the Buick engineers car but turns out it was ordered by Huling Buick in Eugene Or., so the story of the wife not digging the yellow and it being painted gold actually makes perfect sense. Wayne didn’t know the dealer name but he puts the dealer # on the sheet, I looked through the list and it came up as Huling. Invoice was $4,030.37.
