OK Jim: My 65 Riv was sold new by Bones Hamilton. I got it in 1975....in Van Nuys. I later found out he was a Stanford university football star. Mitch
Jim: Just a suggestion.....place a "want add" on Facebook market place in the Valley (Los Angeles). Show the picture and have the "wanted" text appear in the center so you don't get 100 people inquire because they didn't read the entire add. So, I was having lunch with a pal in Jack in the Box and having a real crap day. I was telling my friend about it. An older gentleman overheard the conversation and joined in and adding a bit of support. We finished, shook hands and went on our way. A month later there's "wanted" add on Craigslist. A guy is looking for Wolf Buick license plate frames. I had some and responded. He asked how much and I said that he can just have them if he swings by the house and picks them up. The problem? He was a few hours away but his Pops could swing by as he lived locally. I mentioned we could meet in town and I'd happily give them to his Pops. You guessed it. His Pops was the very same guy who gave me some sunshine on that cloudy day at Jack in the Box !! Mitch
Mitch, I can’t seem to figure out how to do that. It keeps reverting to my local area. Maybe I need to find an eight year old to help me! Keep your eyes out for one in your area! Thanks!
Jim, Reach out to Brad in the link Kerry provided. He did one for me last year and didn't even have an example to go on. He also made me a trunk decal, which I turned into a magnet.
Thanks guys. They look good but I’m holding out for the vintage one with embossed metal. The reproductions I’ve seen have flat decals applied to the metal and maybe patina. If they are embossed metal let me know!
