Any help would be appreciated. I killed my crankshaft in my 300ci. This whole engine has been gone through, I hate to give up on it...any leads are appreciated. I know it kinda hard to find parts for but not impossible. I'm up in western Washington area.ill be calling ta Performance next week to see if they can help. Is there any other interchangeable crankshaft out there? It is the low compression cast iron engine.

I have a crank but it would be expensive to ship.
Another option is to use a 350 crank.

Why not just get a good running 350 and drop it in? They're cheap too

Is the crank good? I had a rod journal that was 0.60 out .
    At this point what's expensive?
    I need it.

I've sank to much into this engine to give up on it .literally all the internals are new and heads are new also. I'm to invested.plus it's the original engine to my 65.

The 350 mains would need to be ground down .5 ". Then you would make a stroker. 3.85" instead of 3.4".

Any more info on this? Pistons wouldn't make contact?

I'm up for any suggestions. My engine is sitting at the machine shop held hostage until I get this figured out. Thanks everyone.

Will a 64 crankshaft work even though mine is a 65?

no you would need different rods and pistons to do the stroker crank.

If you want to make me an offer on the 300 crank I'll consider it. I'll try to measure the journals today and post the sizes, could be std.

For the stroker there are several approaches. If you get the rotating assy out of a late 350 you can use the capscrew rods and there's a 4 cylinder piston that works. The mains and the oil slinger need to be cut down to fit the 300 block. Or you can buy ex-nascar 6.2" rods off ebay for about $100 a set and use forged pistons. Other in between options exist. Here's a thread:

Appears Jim forgot the thread. We used SpeedPro Ford Ranger 2.5 SOHC pistons. 1.19 compression height. They are 3.78" so .030 0ver 300 3.75". We went .020 more as Chris's 300 was already .030 over so 3.8" same as 350. That's .050 over stock 300 3.75". 350 capscrew rods were bushed with steel tubing as the Ford piston uses a .912 pin and Buick uses .940. Only clearance issues was front of pan needed a little ball peen work and windage tray was lowered with washers. Crower 50233 cam with their camsaver lifters. Pushrod oiling. Running great after 8 years.

I've got an extra 350 here in Granite Falls if you end up going that direction...

I don't know if your dual quad intake will fit the 350. Someone else would have to chime in. I think the easiest route would be to find another 300 crank.

Not a runner. While getting my wife's 350 ready for freshening up I decided to build a spare with the extra parts I had.
The block is bored, I think I did the oil mods on it also. So it would need to be assembled.
I think Dr is right, way easier to get another crank.
Where is that car show at? I don't recognize that town?!
