I spent the day looking thru all the Buick Stuff at Desert Valley Auto out here in AZ and there was a SunCoupe with all the mechanism intact and then there’s this crazy home made cowl induction Skylark hood if anybody wants it, not rusted at all and actually not done too badly.
So that is the "new" yard. Had heard they moved N, farther out of Phoenix Metro, up N along the Black Canyon Fwy (I-17). Guess they still have the Casa Grande operation for the forties/fifties stuff, and Happy Valley, err Hidden Valley, in Maricopa.
Yes in Black Canyon, about 30 acres of pre 1979 stuff ! The Buick stuff is getting thin and only a few 1970-72 skylarks, 30-40 other years and a few big cars thrown in with them., only saw 1 BB and it was a 1973 big car. No good 1970 bumpers a few 71-72 bumper cores, my Buddy did score the best 72 rear bumper with license plate guard on it with tail lights and surrounds for $425. It was straight and will polish out nicely. Also found the complete AIR system I needed.
They had a lot of sixties stuff when still in the Phoenix location. Guess a lot of it got crushed during the move.
Someone had the glass cut out of the vista cruiser. I would do anything to go back in time and collect vista cruisers and sport wagons.
I got the 2 doors off the car with the cowl induction hood. Someone put some funky scoops on the sides of the front fenders as well. Car must have just shown up just before I got there because it was intact.
They pretty much have a monopoly on Buick stuff in AZ. I haven't checked on their stock in a long time so I hope it hasn't shrunk down that much. I still need an 8.5 rear.
Speedway in Phoenix had some stuff too. I got a complete driverside rear quarter from him for a 72. He wouldn't let me wander through because of insurance he said but when we were loading up the quarter I snuck in as far as I dared. I didn't get a good enough look at what exactly he had though, unfortunately.
