Those would be good for a boosted application.

Anyone else find any great deals. post them up. I am starting collecting parts for my build.

I’m young and I don’t care about anyone else’s timelines. I drive my Regal whenever I want, with the engine I built for it as a teen. I could have the turbo car running in a weekend if I wanted but like I said it’s not going back together till the alum head engine is done.

I had a blast driving the turbo car a few years ago, the combo of the 4.56 gears, 3500 stall and the turbos was so much fun. I must have burned 10 tanks of gas with it, tons of 18” wide patches, so much fun. Then I swapped in the overdrive trans and enjoyed it some more. Then I turned up the boost to try to find the limits of the engine, learned a lot! When I tore it apart for inspection I committed to leaving it apart till the new engine was done. Almost every part of the engine was custom, it’s time consuming but it’s interesting to break new ground.

Waiting for the alum heads was a huge delay however it will be worth the wait. Then Chris’s shoulder surgery etc. We need to put a lot of work into those heads to make them right, but it is what it is.

I’m not running out of time, things are good.

So your saying TA needs their heads reworked to "make them right?"
Really I thought these Things were supposed to be great out of the box.

I would say they are. Just like the 455 heads though, entry level porting is a no brainer. Also, aluminum heads like more static compression to make up for the loss of heat. The SBB engine that Mike Jr. built was no slouch, so much so, that he wrapped the car around a pole. Who else besides Sean even has a set of these in a built engine?

Yeah, he's OK. The car, sad to say, is not. I learned about it talking to Mike Sr. at the Nats, so it must have happened prior to that. They were both sick about it being the car was so nice before. You really need to respect the power when it gets to this level. Our cars don't have ABS/Traction, Stability, Torque Management, Nanny controls of newer cars that prevent you from getting too far out of shape, and blunting your stupidity.:)

Well Mike Jr is alright which is good.
If it was the car that he was leaning on with his wife at their wedding, that was a beauty.
I have been trying to download TA's catalog but it's unavalible. I hope they survive this 2nd covid infestation.

You have to get out of the gas before the it gets too far since this is usually what happens. That really blows that was a nice car.
Hope all is well with Mike Jr. I'm sure it scared the daylights out of him.
There are just not that many of these Buicks left take note here when you put that hot motor in there you need new respect for the extra power. It can and will get away from you.

With you on that. I'm picking up my heads for the 2nd time over Thanksgiving and in the meantime assembling the 300 stroker shortblock, actually 2 of them. Mike and Tim found me a pair of small lift roller cam blanks and those should get here in a couple more weeks ground to the LS4-HOT profile, 220/230 @.o5o, .520/.530, 112, 68.5 ABDC. One hydraulic and the one going in my engine to use solids. That plus 10.5 cr and an Eaton M112 to help the flow should just about do it for me. In a 2700 lb car with 3.54 gears and 24" tires it should be a fun ride. As mentioned you do need to be precise with the right pedal. But that just takes practice and awareness.

Those combos are gonna be awesome! I use the sloppy stage 2 cams in my LS builds, about a 70 Hp gain over stock.

All the above mentioned controls are located in your right foot. I feel for Mike Sr. and Jr. My son also a Michael totaled the GS we were working on last May due to a blow out coming home from a Friday night local car show. Was supposed to be the recipient of the 350 that we're having built.

Ouch. When you say totaled, how totaled? I once let a '70 Cutlass go because the frame was bent. If that happened today I'd go looking for a frame.

I saw Steve's car and it's pretty bad. I'd probably fix it even if it meant a re-body (probably could be done w/o) but I'm a little crazy in that regard.

My son was very lucky to walk away with just scrapes on his one elbow from crawling out the drivers window and then going back for his sneaker. Passenger side was against the guardrail.
