An LED only required 0.7 VDC to pass the barrier. If your vehicle provides this little voltage, the light will come on. LED's are great, but have their limitations.

I put an led bulb in my outside light of the house. It has a motion sensor on it.......ever since the led bulb in, it glows very dimly when switch on but light off........it doesn't bother me....seems like a high low light now. Lol

Glad y have it figured out

    Ha.... compatibility again.. :D
I've got 4 led bulbs in my 1/2 bath, no dimmer switch, and they very lightly "glow" all night with the switch off....crazy

Thats wild, you'd think off is off.
Many many years ago, when I was tinkering with an LED Vu meter project from Radio Shack, The LEDs only needed 5 volts to illuminate full power, thats if IRCo_O
Funny how early life experiences whether tought, or self taught out of interest come around later in life:cool:

The guy at American Autowire told me something similar Larry ............... that is is all about back feed. Which I honestly didn't understand. I am bad about trying to visualize these concepts and couldn't wrap my head around why back feed entered the equation ..........

You are not alone. Down here in Florida, dim bulbs behind the wheel are a real issue.

Yes they are. I like it, but I'm sure some would find it objectionable.:)
