First thing I thought of when I saw the first picture of it was:

But I like the engine and trans and brake choices. Will be interesting to see how high the bidding goes. Worth way more than the $15K opening bid IMO.

    That's a good guess. Better than 29,350 :)

I like the car. I wouldn't change much as it is a "Hot Rod". Looks like nice workmanship throughout. I watched the video of an older gentleman explaining what he all had done to it. If he ends up getting $30k, it'll "maybe" cover half of what he has in it.......... then again I doubt it. Real leather bench seat......I bet that was $100 alone!! LOL

    I'd drive it!!!!

Anyone in the Fountain Hills area to check it out. I’m sure the reserve is higher than I’m willing to go, but another member may be more interested than me.

This Xara was talked about on here recently but I can't find the thread. Was listed on Hemmings IIRC so it was either recently sold or didn't sell & is not on BAT.

Beautiful car, but swap the wheels.

Really a sharp suncoupe. The 18 inch wheels aren't everyone's cup of tea, but someone put some $$$ into this thing. As restomods go - this one is a nice mix of upgrades without looking too custom.

Is it just me or are the panel gaps all over the place? the hood looks too high at the windshield, the trunk looks off and the gaps on the doors look off to me. I do like the car and think it would make a great tourer, but the gaps would have be addressed for sure.

I can agree and it looks like it’s been “over body worked” meaning it’s lost the crispness to the body lines which to me is a concern.

It is a really nice build! I like everything but the wheels. I love the wheels just not on this car.

    Well...... SOLD...... $54K!
I really didn't think it would go quite that high, but then again you couldn't build it for anywhere near that.

So, What is a stage 2 hood? Looks like a standard GS hood to me?
