My sons and I are going again. Apparently on the registration paper I must’ve given my email because they already sent me a registration. These guys are on task, and it was an awesome car show, and a great time

Hmmm - I have a flight credit to burn or lose from MCACN's cancelation last year and the schedule on the same airline (Spirit) for MCACN this year is all jacked compared to prev. How good is the show? Maybe I'll fly down for the day.

It was ok. On the street around a city park. They had more cars than room to park them and that was during the panicked early days of he "pandemic" The host were not sure anyone would come so they were not really prepared for the number that showed up. IFIRC there was around 140 cars. Nearest hotel was in Leesburg. Ive been to this show 6-8 times over the last 12 years. My Riv. Johns cars last year in this pic

Thanks Steve - I'm looking for something fun to do w/this flight credit w/o incurring much add'l expenses & where Spirit flies non-stop. Have family in St. Pete too so could probably see them & crash there if I flew into Tampa Fri. night.

Schedule also looks optimal to fly into Orlando Sat. AM & out of Tampa Sat. PM but would have to how much the rental car co. would jam me for doing that.

Right now rental cars are stupid expensive. Used my CC points to send the wife on a vaca up north. Rental car was the only thing not covered and was over 700$ for 10 days. FWIW. I'd make the reservation for the car sooner than later.

I'd considered that possibility too which may muck up any thoughts of going.

mid October down here aint exactly the busy season. I think rental car rates should be much more reasonable by then.

And keep in mind that in Florida, the rental companies cannot charge a drop fee, so renting in Orlando, dropping in Tampa, typically should not cost more.
