You should include "Clone" in your title......

I would rather buy the one that Todd built for $35k. Seen advertised online at a dealer yesterday.

Me too, I’m not a fan of a GSX clone unless it’s crazy correct. But a GS clone can be fun and fast without worrying.

I am at the auction today, I’ll get the VIN. When I saw the car online, it looked a whole lot of wrong. Apparently there are no apologies for actually listing this car incorrectly, you figure Mecum would question the listing. Pics to come. My guess on hammer is$28.5

It's not the auction house job to research every car. I've seem a few bondo'd up wrecks pull pretty strong dough at BJ. I thought who would possibly pay 27g for that?! It was a 71 Malibu sm block w/ somewhat ss stripes! The other was a 72 duster/dart 318 with the mullet rake,17500! The body work was so bad on both these cars that eBay pics wouldn't do them justice! Seriously though, buyer beware at any auction or private purchase,if a car has passed through a few hands the current seller may have no clue his car is a fake. I have a friend who "recreates" COPO camaros and Yenko novas... Date codes, detailed to the T. He sells them as clones, but what happens after that? Auction house as with any business is in business to make money, most do it with integrity,it's the buyers PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to be sure they are spending their money wisely.

Here are the photos, chrome is pitted, brown interior. Looks like it needs lots of love. I’ll post more when it comes the block.

No worries, I was thinking it was definitely in that color range.

Years ago, in the early days of FB, I was in a group that celebrated brown cars. I left it after a while because, well, all it was about was brown cars. It got to be too much for me.

Hmmm... Harvest Gold with Burnished Saddle bench interior, built Nov 69. That should have been disclosed. And, the phillips screws could be construed as fraud? Mecum should have caught that.
