BSA is ‘Sorta Stock Appearing’. It is not intended to be only pure stock or FAST cars. (If it were, we’d likely have a very small field of either show cars or purpose built ‘ringers’). We peer tech the cars as a friendly and welcoming group of racers. We’ve run with this set of rules for a decade and included Electras, Wildcats, Skylarks, leSabres and numerous GSs, ranging from 10s to 17s in the quarter mile. The bracket system ensures every car has a fair chance at winning. The quickest qualifier has never been the winner, either. If you’re interested in running this class, please ask questions about it. If your car is close to the rules but doesn’t exactly comply, ask about it. If you think the rules should be different and want to help us run the class, join us and explain why. Patrick Roll Call below please!
Two years ago Patrick told me I had to go through tech. I asked, what are they going to look for? He said, I don’t know. Maybe they’ll check to see that your battery is bolted down. Go figure, mine was not. My son and I very quickly rigged up a bracket to hold the battery in place. Not really needed. My car is not that fast. They didn’t check a damn thing in tech! The gang in stock class are a blast!
I will be there if all goes according to plan. Hoping to shave a few tenths off my ET from slow Lebanon Valley Dragway in 90* plus heat with my new motor.
This just in: We have prizes! Winner of BSA gets a truly awesome Winner Belt and $300; Runner Up gets a really cool trophy and $200. These are confirmed; more likely will follow! Patrick Thank you Jim Rodgers and ‘anonymous’ cash donor!
If you bring a ‘cruising vessel’ we’ll find a prize for you! Bonus points if you wear the hat... Patrick
Thank you Dave Hemker! He’s funded the pot a generous $200! I’ll match him, so now... Winner now gets $500 and the giant belt, Runner up gets $300 and a cool trophy. Semi final losers get $50 each. Fair? Good? Anyone else? Swag is cool, too!! Patrick
