I can't even get a junk pocket watch out of Texas for that money, who in the world ships that cheap and does the import stuff?
Sean, you shouldn't tell me that; - I'll end up buying something I really don't need at this phase in life...:D

I don’t remember, was years ago. Recently I shipped an engine and spare parts on a pallet to Wenatchee Washington for $200, I was impressed. I used “uship” I had companies bidding on the job. Who’s turn is it to buy breakfast? Been a few years

The 79 Chevy 454 seems like a deal . As stated earlier your prices there seem reasonable compared to Ohio rust trucks .

Great Pickup Truck. GMC Sierra Short Box, all original. Low miles for this vintage. Body and engine both in very good shape... very little rust (nothing deep). Runs great. Would not take much to restore into a great classic truck

77 Chevy c10 Silverado. 406 small block built for boost with around 1k miles on it. Th350 with a 3k stall. 12 bolt rear end welded gears but have a spool. Custom black widow exhaust to custom Goliath exhaust tips. Lowered 4/6. Ac delco rear air shocks. New staggered American racing 20” wheels and tires. Stock look headlights with bright led bulbs. More that I’m forgetting. Truck is fast and sounds mean. Needs body work. Has some rust and dents.

I used to have a 76 Ford Ranger F-150 extended cab that had a 360 and a 4 speed manual. Best truck I ever owned, and probably a rare powertrain combo since besides the 4 speed it also had power brakes and power steering. It had the deluxe interior too; - I would have kept it were it not for the fact that every body mount was rotten, the floors were disappearing and every gasket in that engine leaked and the clutch was bathed in oil. My brother-in-law needed a truck and I stupidly offered to sell him it; so he "borrowed" it for 2 years never paid for it and destroyed it, he drove the snot out of it hauling a 2 ton roofing trailer and never washed it. My first job when I repossessed it was to put inner fenders in it so I could open the hood.
I should have kept it, I wanted to keep it, but when I got rid of it in 2001 there wasn't that much parts support for the bodies at that time.

    Find me a rust-free 76-79 F-150 Ranger extended cab with a 390 and 4 speed, I'd be very interested...

'76 is the last year you could get the 390, went to 351M/400 and 460 for the bigger engines after that. '73-'77 basically all the same trucks, '78-'79 have the different front end and other things nobody but a stickler would note.

Yeah, I've had a 79 with the 351M, it was "ok", that motor was a bit of a boat anchor because it was so smogged out. It ran ok, but had really nothing for power. The one I had was suffering with a bad thrust bearing; the crankshaft was waddling back and forth and the oil pressure would drop as it warmed up and the temperature would get high. You could actually hear it waddle; - it sounded like pre-ignition knock. But you couldn't kill that engine; - a buddy I sold it to tried, he drove the crap out of it, sold it, and then got it back in a trade a year later in the same condition. Still running, but not fixed; he eventually killed the truck when he rolled it end over end while drunk. He lived, but the truck broke apart.

OK, so I'm looking for a reasonably rust free 73-76 F-150 Ranger extended cab with a 4 speed and a 390. Don't really care for the 460 and the C-6 because all it does is drink a lot of gas. Rust free is likely a problem considering they came from the factory with rust. The 390 has a guaranteed burn rate of about 7 gallons an hour, empty or loaded, it doesn't matter, at over $4 a gallon, it won't be cheap to run.

Should be about as easy to find as an Electra with a 3 speed stick. :D

The pile used to get 14 mpg when I had efi on it. It'll do 12 with the 750 Holley I run now. Gets 6ish in town, good thing work is only 4 miles away....the block is the only cast iron left :)
