What are you all using for electric fans?
Big block powered Regal. Has a stock fan and shroud.
Want to switch to electric to cool down while at drag strip.
I have used Chevy hhr on a 68 Chevelle small block but it has a larger radiator and literally fight right over it like it was made for it.
Regal has a much smaller rad.
This is a budget build car my friend has.
    Thank you.
    Chris

A thought, if this car was a V6 powered car did he switch to a v8 radiator? Because the radiator on the V8 radiator is bigger. Also I'll get pics of how mine is in the car later after work.

Thanks. The radiator is a tight fit. I gave him an aluminum A body version but it’s too wide.
These cars seem right and have some bracing bolted inside the fender well to rad supports if I remember what I was looking at. How wide is your radiator?
    Thank you

I wanna say it's 19x31, mines an older Northern radiator brand, it seems they changed a little bit since I bought mine. If you buy a champion brand you need to watch the width of the tubes. I got screwed on the first radiator it was a two row 3/4 wide tubes, you need to go with 2 row 1 inch wide tubes. I chased an overheating issue. It would idle all day and be cool. But at cruising (speed 3000rpm) creep to 205 before ac was on. Then to 215+

The Iroc Z radiator is a direct bolt in for the Gbody,...pick them up for around $120 at your parts store,..

    No. Electric water pump.
This is step 1. Budget build.
Bought the hhr fan assembly. Works on a 68 velle 355 iron head car. Also a fox body where I first saw it.
    hhr fan $60 w shroud.
I will let you all know how it works.

I tossed a amazon knock off rad the other day. On a daily driver and replaced w a denso. What a difference.
I have a champion rad in my Chevelle. Fits like crap but a track car at moment so will leave it. Won’t buy another.
Desert cooler in Buick. 20 years old and still going.

Had a champion in my regal felt the same way, car ran warm down the highway without a/c on. The one I had was only 2 row 3/4 wide tubes instead of 2 row 1" wide tubes. It fit but could have been better. I have a northern brand now and my issues went a way. I have 3:42 gears in an 8.5 with a th350 at 70mph I'm turning 3000-3200rpm that's a lot of heat getting made before A/C's on.

    Bo
How does it fit in the radiator cushions.
I bought the 3 row champion direct fit. It’s the jokes on me. Does not fit. 3 row. Junk. I’d recommend against it.

My friend who this thread started about removed rad and fan and trying to relocate alternator on his 455 Oldsmobile powered regal.
I think he will use the Moroso water pump drive kit now too.

Sorry for the late response I'm out of state Snowmobiling and haven't been paying attention to this. I don't think it fit that great, I think I had to make it fit in my regal. Mine had the welded tanks on the ends instead of formed. Champion radiators some like them, some guys hate them. I hate them, there just a universal radiator that fit with modifications. The one I had was designed with poor cooling.

The three row requires u to ream out the mounts with a grinder but I have a three row with 1 inch tubes. Its thick. Real thick holds alot of fluid. It will fit but it will be tight sometimes that's what racing is about making things fit that arent meant to if it was easy would we even be doing it
