Anyone know of a company that has headers for a 67 GS, 455? Large primary, 2 1/4 and 4" collectors. TA doesn't so might need some made to fit on the car. Hope not, very pricey!
If you're trying to avoid a custom fab'd set, I'd try the TA headers. Sounds like a pretty big header for a BBB. What's the combo?
You will have a very tough time getting 2.25 in that chassis,...how many cid? Like Gary said unless you are planning to blow 500+horse of spray thru it,..you don't need 2.25 headers The 2.125 TA Super Comps headers will be VERY tight in the 64-67 chassis but will go with some frame mods,...that more than enough header to handle most any combo
Got a 580 ci aluminium block, (4.560 x4.5), TA stage II ported heads with titanium intake valves, TA solid roller and Fast EFI. Need the flow!
Combination sounds more than worthy of a custom set. Haven't seen anyone go beyond 4.500 bore on a BBB. I'll be interested to hear how it runs.
I have a set of Lemons custom headers in my race car - have them made in singles, its at lot easier to fit and slip through when installing.
Called, Lemons, only chevys. Already had it running with the TA 2" primary header and ran good while fine tuning computer. Just upgrading some things, Tri Shield Performance non switch pitch 400 with gear vender and his 9 1/2 converter. Solid roller, thermal coatings and new exhaust headers. Custom header fabricator in Southern CA (Temecula)?
I built the headers for my buick powered studebaker. Jegs sold me a weld up 2 1/8" tube- 4" collector kit for $120. Ta flanges were $100. Jegs also has a 2 1/4" kit. If you know a welder/fabricator, the pieces aren't too pricey.
Dan Lemons and the Mrs are top notch people. Met them last February at their shop. I’d recommend calling them to see if it’s possible.
Measure your exhaust port and try to fit to that then step it in 8” or so. Calvin Elston has some real interesting write ups. Check out his info.
Tried Lemons for pre made as a lot of racers luv them. Only Chevys as a 455 is a different size motor as he told me and they do not want to use the TA headers for a template. I know a guy with a 67 chevelle that got a set from Lemons for his 502, 2 1/4 and 4 collector that fit nicely in his car. The engine compartments are so simular, know they can fit. Want a mandrel bent, least pieces that I can get so kits are out. Most likely will bite the bullet and have a custom set made in the car. A shop called Raw Motor Sports in Temecula quoted 3500 to start and 5500 to start for stainless. Mo money!
Just thinking aloud hear but with a simple SP2 intake and no power adder I can't for the life of me see the need for that large of a primary
