So this might be a stupid question, but will a Oldsmobile crankshaft cap fit on a Buick? I was replacing the rear main seal and the cap cracked.

NO! Find a new cap and then have your engine line bored.

I’ve looked online but I can only find some on eBay. Where would I be able to buy some new?

    You're screwed

New isn't available and even it was the engine now will need to be take apart and line bored and honed,...IE time for fresh bottom end

Which cap did you lose, program here in ohio used to make the center 3 in billet steel. I think they have a different name now and not sure if they do carry/make for our motors any more.

But there is no way around having the tunnel bored and honed......even if you find a stk cap. I think I have a few stk caps floating in a tub

It was the rear, the one closest to the flywheel.

I’m honestly not sure myself, I put the rope seal in after I replaced all the bearings and started to torque the caps back on and it cracked.
