My 68 GS350 California build thread

    Motor is back together with new gaskets etc.
    I used remflex gaskets on the turbo manifolds just to be safe.

    I also dabbed a charge pipe/BOV now I am waiting on some new silicon couplers

    Just a couple suggestions

    Those gates are in terrible position
    And the drain lines are feeding up hill,..put two nipples in the pan sump and run them down to there

    Ditch the mechanical pump and run the driver drain into a where the pump is,.. should be enough drop to even run the pass drain over the top of cover to the fuel pump location too

    I have a ROBBMC fuel surge tank that is feed by the mechanical and then feed Efi with 55-60psi + boost referenced regulator

    The drain lines are not proper connected like that I have to adjust once I drop it back in the car

    So since i am trying out 15x10 (6.5BS) in the rear of the 68 i got a lower shock mount relocation bracket that gives me enough space.
    the wheels have 28x10.5 MT Drags on it right now and of course they bulge which is very close to the frame . However the wheels fit very well with 6.5 BS i could get a 1/2 spacer to space it to the outer lip but i try to avoid that with a better fitting tire size.
    I looked obviously into 275/60/15 street tires, that should be based on the size equivalent size as 28x10.5 without bulge.
    But i am afraid they will be to tiny for my taste..lol
    285/70/15 would be great width wise but with 30" size probably to tall.

    i really want some meats on that thing.


    further i am working on a TH400 HD, its a good trans, i replaced some seals already , went through the thing without opening it up completely
    and i will add a TRANS GO Shift kit as well.

    It should be beefy enough for my purpose.

    Yes i will probably have to get the Driveshaft redone which isnt a big deal i have a real good experience with a great shop here in Mesquite TX.

    Will a 295 or 325 fit,..they are perfect for a 10in wheel

    295s would be awesome I do not have a 295 here BUT my 19" I had on there before where 295 35/19 on 6"BS you think I can use this as indicator?
