Anyone else hoard parts? I have this awful addiction to hoarding 4 dr parts just in case. I have doors, fenders, hoods and trunk lids all painted and ready just in case a part is damaged beyond repair. Boy scout motto!

Many if not most have issues, lol. Stems from Buick parts not being so available I think.

I only have 70' to 71' parts unfortunately. They are painted.

I mean I have them in Regal Black just in case. If I had a few others or these were not painted, I'd be willing to sell.

When buying body panels repaint is assumed.

If I've learned anything since getting back into this hobby a few years ago, it's that I'll never discard or turn down the opportunity to acquire parts again.

I had a lot of stuff that I sold with my other Stage 1 back in 2011 that would (now) make great bartering chips and when I think of all the hoses, belts, clamps, nut and bolts that I tossed in the trash back in the day, I get a little sick.

I guess that's the long answer. Short answer is yes - but I'm in the same boat as Briz.

I've tried to limit myself to parts for the one car I own. Specifically, parts that are difficult to source if I need them.

As soon as my last two cars are done I will sell any leftover parts so someone who needs the stuff can get it. I think some of us tend to keep everything too long and our heirs wind up trying to sort through piles, boxes, and bags of stuff.

Max, I have one--the original, unmolested passenger side fender from my '68 GS350. Unfortunately, it's currently on my '69 and can't leave until I locate a '69 fender in similar condition that doesn't cost (including transport) an arm and a leg.

I gave up on hoarding parts. I used to buy just about anything with a trishield on it. After moving it all twice I realized how much of a waste it all was. I have been trying to sell it off. I can't imagine a scenario where I'd need 5 455s or 3 spare distributors. My new motto is to keep the spare parts at the other guys house, i'll keep the money in my wallet.. between this board and ebay there are no hard to find parts for a skylark..

Haha, wise guy! Let me rephrase- no hard to find parts that meet my standards!

I know i've seen 70 nos bezels for sale recently on this site, you'll probably have to buy the pair though!

I have a few parts only since I don't have a huge garage.

I also am space limited, but I do have some extra's. No engines or transmissions. Mostly little stuff. Instument panels? Yes. Trim? Yes. Mostly It's mentally designated for a particular purpose, not just sitting.

Although I do have 5 of the "California" logos now. Hoping to share some of those soon.

66electrafied Just tossing in my nickel's worth

For a while, I had run out of sheds. Then I sold the car and realized how much money I had wasted. Of course when I was selling all those bits and pieces they just never seemed to be as valuable as I first thought when I bought them and I lost my shorts.
Now I have next to nothing and am very selective with what I buy, because if this car gets written off, I'm stuck with a pile of useless junk again.
