Craig, Would it be less expensive to make a run to the supplier and pick up enough stuff for possibly 5 hoods? If its only 200 miles to wherever its getting shipped from thats an easy 6 hour round trip drive. Might even get a volume discount.

I currently use a supplier out of Florida, US Composites but there is another company in Baltimore that’s about 2 1/2 hours away that’s a little more expensive but it is drivable. The downside is polyester resin does not have that long of a shelf life maybe three months and that’s three months from the day it was manufactured not the day it’s opened so it’d something I might consider but I really have to be ready to basically dedicate a month or two straight and building hoods, no down time at all.

I think one of these would look good on my back half car as well. But I wont be ready for one till the end of this year, when my OT picks up..And I could drive down and save shipping!

Todd GS is more than likely me (ToddsGS)
I had a customer that had some interest in one and maybe still does (Evil Twin) It's been a while now and his car is completed so not sure if he would still want or need one but . . . . .

I know Todd started making the grill insert stickers for those hoods. Is there any interest in a 3d plastic insert for those?

I've got a 70 assembly coming this week to measure every part. Would the seal plate need to be epoxied to the hood underside, or skip all together? It looks like the aircleaner is special, non GS version.

Have you had any thoughts on my inquiry? It would most likely just be a '66 Skylark hood with the cowl induction rise in it. No scoops since my car is not a GS, so probably not as much work? I'm probably about 2-3 weeks away from getting the motor back, so I thought I would ask again because I will want to look into a hood once I know clearance requirements. Feel free to PM me if you want to keep this post from cluttering up too much with my comments, thanks.
