I'm trying to help out a fellow big body owner find parts.......or at least figure out if it can be modified.
He's got a 69 Riviera and is looking for the ac compressor bracket for his application. The assembly manual states the series 94 ( I'm guessing Riviera) has a model-specific bracket. I have my old 430 ac compressor bracket and have no idea what the difference between the two is. they all use the same delcotron, compressor, and brackets for the small block and big block minus Rivi for that year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about the bottom bracket that also holds the alternator or the top bracket the holds the top of the ac compressor and bolts to the intake manifold?

E body only? have to wonder why in heck the engineers did that. Have access to (2) 455 blocks in local yard engine bins, but all they have left is the lower bracket that bolts to the R cylinder head. And am sure they weren't Riveria, but more common seventies B/C bodies. Guessing that is the most common A/C bracket, to dig up, anyway.

The bottom bracket that holds the alternator. There's two different ones. The one I'm looking for is a 94 series. Part number 9416740. The other is 9420555 and that one will not work apparently. The placement of the alternator is different between the two.

I know the one I got came off a 69 Riv but I'll double check the part number on mine tomorrow also.
