No, because the rear was designed for the level control. Buy the Monroe rear shocks listed. They ride very nice on my Riviera.
The reason it is 'jiggly' is because the shocks in the car are worn out. Air or no air, the oil in the shocks turns to a thin watery consistency. GM shocks of that vintage were good for 50k miles, at best. Get a new set of the ones Larry is talking about, and hook up the ride control. Should ride nice.
Whatever is in my car now I don't think is the original anyway. Might be the Monroe's, but they are too rusty looking to tell. They have separate air lines and the original lines are disconnected. Is there a way to post pic's here?
Ah thanks here we are. Pic attached. They still hold air, work better than they look but I don't know what brand they are.
I love the Monroes in my Riv. Much better ride than the Delcos they replaced. For what they cost, it's a no brainer to me.
Those look like Gabriel "Hi Jackers" Gabriel air shocks had the upper body of the shock around the air bladder. Monroe air shocks the rubber bladder is exposed.
