The best time was the one after dark, but i think it was more a function of me remembering to release the two-step than conditions. I'll be happy if my 60s are in the 1.7s consistently...ill just add more to go faster. lol.
Went to the track a few weeks ago in my boat and ripped off a 13.91@99 MPH. Sat heavy on the scale at exactly 5,000 lbs. It's a 1973 LeSabre with a 455 that has a lot of stuff done to it. Headers into full exhaust (that's why you can barely hear it). As a bonus, it was "Buick day" and only one other Buick wanted to race me. We did a best of 3 shootout and I won my first racing trophy! I am embedding the video of my best pass, the 13.91@99. Then links to the 3 shootout videos at the end and our proud family photo. Video: Shootout - I dialed a 13.95 for all 3 races. 1st race, other guy redlights the launch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVEA6Ty1pXg 2nd race, I spun the tires off launch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RitAVx-oc9Q 3rd race - we both did things right, and at the end it was so close neither of us knew who won until we picked up the timeslips on the way back! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BS4qeyj3dM And our proud family moment in the winners circle! That's myself in the middle and bobc455 on the right. (this is the car with Bob's EFI motor in it) Curious if anyone keeps track of the fastest heavy cars? I'm sure I'd do well in that category!

11.47 @ 118 with 1.75 60's. 482 had roller Stage 2 alum heads ported built by Gary Payne Shortie headers beat into submission to clear steering box Full weight car with working ac, no weight reduction 9" Ford with 3.90's , 255/60 Nitto DR Finally had a chance to Run the 70 Electra down the track. Full weight car complete with AC etc. 1st time running it with the new stage 2 Was easing it out of the hole as traction was not good. Later on in the day traction picked up and I decided to Hammer it hard, Boom! there went the rear end. Only had a 28 spline and could not take the Grunt. Done tell next year, she was pulling like a freight train!

Love the track at Palmer! Beautiful there, and the guys are first rate without being too "professional". Much fun and a lot of really quick cars.

Thank you Bob. I've saved it. Wonder how many updates it has had??? I still see my '64 Riv. with the 13.902 Tom T.
Not handy but I’ll grab one, 2 tubes about 50% smashed, however I don’t think is slowed the Tanker down much. I was concerned but after running it I do t think it’s hurting.
Had to "dimple" my shortys in the same spot. Pulled the engine. looked for the rub mark and heated it with a torch then used a ball peen hammer until I was sure it would clear. Its stll close but dont hit.
I am having to cut 2 tubes completely out & re-flow all 4 from the box, rearward. If I hammered them they would have been about 1/4-in thick.
