66 Special/GS trim Tell me which of these dings are not repairable. I'd like to send you all the repairable pieces
Almost all the stainless and aluminum can be repaired. There was a guy that made his own tools and dies to "pull through" the trim. If you have the means and ability, you can do the same thing. You need to machine the profile of the metal trim and make a "die" that you then "pull through" the piece of molding/trim, or you make small "anvils" or "dollies" and then work out the dents. I have used wood and "pressed" out dents, it takes some effort, but with time and patience, it can be done to most pieces.
Some of it looks workable...but it's a 50/50 shot on whether it will look "acceptable" when I'm done with it. If there are questionable items, I will give it a shot...and either tell you it's not worth it and find another one, or I will try my best and if you aren't happy with it I'll take that item off the bill.
GranSportSedan, seems like 66 rear chrome is always in bad shape. I do have a nice center trunk lip, if you are interested. Thanks Bill.
