Kurt, Are you referring to the Buick "Get together" at my house? This coming Saturday, April, 14th. Refer to post #43 for directions. It's from noon till whenever. I'm providing BBQ and other people have said they'll bring food and snacks too. BYOB, or soft drink. Whatever you prefer. It should be a great time! I believe I've got at least 9 V8's and a group of GN people coming over. Come on up!!! I'm on a corner lot with green grass to park on and big shade trees. A good stereo and maybe a BB gun if birds want to poop down on our cars. > Give a shout back.................

 

Good morning Buick enthusiasts! This is an update to my last update. We definitely have 8 V8 Buicks showing up, and at least 10 turbo GNs. There is still a possibility of 4 more V8s showing up. A buddy of mine was at Cars and Coffee Sunday, Palm Beach Outlet Mall, and saw 2 V8s. One was a GS and one was a GSX. He invited both of them to attend our Get Together. I've got everything ready on my end. We'll be providing burgers, dogs, Mac and or Potato salad, beans, and snacks. I've got a stereo in the garage. My son will have Pandora hooked up to it playing 60', 70's, and 80's music, or whatever you want to request. Bring your own drinks, soft drinks, beer, or whatever. I don't care. Coolers with ice will be provided if needed . I have plenty of tables and chairs, and a lot of shade. You can wax your car or do whatever. I am looking forward to meeting all!!!

Good morning Buick family. We had a real good Buick "Get together" yesterday!!! First I'd like to thank neighbor John, and my son Alex, for helping me during the week get ready for this party! V8 guests in order of arrival were Marshall, who brought his very cool 1973 Buick Riviera. Milton, who brought his mean looking 1966 Dodge Coronet. (His 70 GS is currently awaiting a new engine.) Hector, who brought his very nice 1970 GS455. Alan, who brought his cool drop top 1969 GS400. Neighbor John who brought over his almost finished from restoration 1969 Camero. My son brought over his project 1968 Skylark and an 87 GN. I had my two 1968 GSs and a 1969 Skylark Custom. My good friend Shev, who comes from the Turbo Buick Forum brought over his 1987 GN, and he invited over 6 other GNs and T-Types. It was a GREAT day hanging out under the shade trees conversing with a BUNCH of awesome Buick friends!!! There were others that wanted to come, but due to circumstances they couldn't make it. There will be another Buick Get Together. GSFred wants me to hold another Get Together when he gets here next January. Fred, you got it! Now lets see if I can download some pictures...

 

Looks like it turned out to be a good event. Bummed that I missed it. I am looking forward to the 2nd annual John Carrol Buick Bash next year. Anytime January thru March. works for me.

 

You got it Fred! It was easy, fun, and I sure met a bunch of real nice people! We'll make it bigger and better!!!

 

Any local buick guys in Broward county? I just picked up a 65 skylark.

 

Im in Palm Beach County but I work in Broward.

 

I'm in in Fort Lauderdale. Maybe My 69 will be back on the road / not completely in pieces in January. Maybe.

Hey guys! If everyone is in town I would like to meetup with you all. I have time off school right now and I'm wrenching on my car a lot and I dont know if you guys are fixin up yours too. Either way, a meetup or wrenching on each others cars or whatever would be nice. I missed the last one John hosted :/

 

I think John is going to try a get together once GSFred gets down here for his winter get away.
We are going to try and hit up this show towards the end of this month.

John Staluppi will be having his annual Cars of Dreams show at his museum in either March or May, I will double check that.

If you have never seen Johns museum, he opens it only a few times a year to the public and I promise, it will leave an impression on you.

 

• I went to this show last year. Great show, and his museum is something to see. Rumor last year was that he was sending alot of the cars to the Barret Jackson auction and had already purchased replacement cars.
  

 

Yes Fred. He sold off everything a few years ago including all of the museum and went out and did it all over again. I haven't seen it since it's been redone.

 

Dang, I started this thread and found it by accident. Lucky I wasn't a Reading teacher! Fred, Mike, Christopher, and others, how the heck are you!!! Mike, you are cracking me up. Thanks for taking over with enthusiasm, and I do mean that!!!

Mike, seriously..... THANK YOU!!!!! You are like my son. If it were up to him we'd be at a car show every other day. And yes, Fred and I will be at those shows and more. Milton, where are you??? Milton has a beautiful GS and he lives a mile from me. Life is good!!!!!!!
