How does your engine like that big Holley? I heard the 350 likes a bigger carb

So as far as I can see online, no one makes a aluminum head for the Buick 350. So we all have to wait for TA to make one. I just wish they would give a time frame. Such as this spring?, or this year?

Everyone runs what works with their combo.
    I've had 750's, 850's, Demon's, and currently use a 830hp. Ran well, drinks gas!
GSJohnny runs a 650 on his rail, go figure...

the weight of the rail plays a factor also

An aluminum head for the 350 has been discussed for more than 15 years now. The fact that TA has stepped up and commited to this is amazing as many had lost hope. The single plane intake released a couple years ago was another huge step in the right direction. Compared to the previous 50 years of SBB existance we are moving at warp speed now. Start building a short block to take advantage of these heads, I am sure they will be available soon enough :D

Just wandering if anyone has an idea on what the gains will be to a mild built 350 with oversized valves and port, polish etc?

Going back many years, when I went from a KB MKII & stock '70 heads/comp. to a KB C118, ported big valve heads, open element air cleaner, plenum spacer, and 10.25 (measured) SCR, I picked up about a second. Presumably my SCR was a little higher to start with, but in the attached, those same changes were worth .94 sec. so pretty consistent results really and in the KB build up, .23 sec. of that cumulative gain was attributed to the heads.

I didn't see a price and Mike & crew were busy talking to a crowd of people so I didn't ask.

I would expect it to be in line with the big block heads, about 2500.00 fully assembled, 1400.00 for the bare castings.

The heads will most likely be $2600-$2700 assembled, $1400-$1500 bare castings. We've been hit by huge price increases by the foundry, these were the most expensive head castings wevweever purchased. Big block heads will probably go up the next order we make :(

Mike, you doing any dyno testing? Iron, then aluminums before they're offered for sale?
Be interesting to see the difference:cool:

Mike, I was going to talk to your pop at the Nats but never found a chance,..what's the estimated time frame on the wicked wedge head?

I don't have a time frame that I can quote at the moment, other than we're looking into the best route to take to get them machined.
