Is TA ever going to make a kit for the 455. Pullys and brackets idler and tensioner . Or are there too many diferances between makes to keep it simple.?

Kit is available from March, no need for TA to make something that is readily available, matter of fact a setup was in the classifieds recently

I don't see any listed at March for the Buick 350. TA could always make some for us guys!

i was thinking March was a bit on the expensive side. I would think that TA would be able to do it better . March dosent specialize in Buick. Even a Couple K belts would be nice. Is it easier to do it with electric fans, or does it matter?

The GN setup can be adapted to work on the big block too, haven't done one myself but seen several on BBB's

I fabricated my own using a 1991 Suburban 350 setup with a few small mods. Here's what it looked like when I was mocking it up...

Nice option I like the stock look. I've been kicking around going to a serpentine setup. I don't care for the March setup. I just think the styling of the top bracket is too much for my liking.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

What year is best to find for doing a 350 ? I want to clean up my engine bay and thinking hard about vintage air as my car is s non air car.

The '86 & '87 Grand National setups bolt right up (some shimming may be required). The only potential drawback is that you can't use a mechanical fuel pump.

Check it out at the following link... http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/serpine-belt-systems-for-455.55804/page-7

will either work without the air conditioner? The suburban set up would be more avaible at your junk yard. That looks very nice and good fit Hotrodgss1

Thanks! The air conditioner should work when using the 86 or 87 grand national set up. You can use it without the air conditioner compressor but you'll have to either find an AC delete idler bracket/pulley or fabricate your own.

You think a shorter belt would work or does it need that loop

You can go with a shorter belt, but you may not have sufficient pulley wrap on the crank pulley, especially at WOT. As long as you're not romping on it too much, I think it'll be fine.

That's it , I plan on romping on it all the time. Whenever I drive it , anyware , it seems my foot has to hit floor at least ounce.
