Why not have a factory tube?
    Thanks Rick

There are no 4l80e tubes for a 67 buick and the t400 tube is staying with the 400. the tube that was with this transmission was for a 1 ton van and 5 feet long. the heater box and A/c would be in the way too. This way I can run it to the same side as the oil dipstick and mount it to the firewall.

Nice work on the swap, looking very good! I think you will be very happy with the 4L80E in the long run, they are a reliable trans... Pretty much the Th-400 with overdrive.

Did you pick out a controller for the trans?

Going good. I have been working on the cooling system. Radiator in a Harrison 4 core, now I need the condenser in front of that. then I can determine the size of the trans cooler and finish the cooler line.

It's been a multi step process but I am very close to completing.

Well, today was the day, I ordered this control module for the 67 buick GS400,
They have never had this application come through the division so I am excited to be the first.

UShift showed up today, with a holley TPS and a butt load of wires and covers.
I will need to select a mounting location and see how best to run the 5 thousand wires through the
trans tunnel or even through the firewall if they are long enough.

Installed the US Shift Quick 1 Transmission Control System
I had to protect the wiring harness with black split wire loom. and where they went
close to the collectors I covered the loom with 2000 degree heat shield..
I made a mount with some scrap I had in the garage. Mounted on the left side
hopefully out of the way. plenty of room the move it . the wires just made it.

Tomorrow I will connect power and ground I like that all the wires are available.
With a switch board I can switch to manual, shift up and down think paddle shift, sport mode.
has a speedo and tach wire. this thing is pretty slick.

Thanks, It's the last piece of the puzzle. I was regretting going this route
It's a lot of extra work to make it happen. now that i am so close to the finish line. I'm real happy.
It can adjust fluid control. shift control. shift points. I will hook up to a laptop and adjust the shift points in 4 different programs. from street to strip and anything in between.
all able to change on the fly.

Throttle positioning sensor for Holley carburetor without choke. Nothing left but to connect 5 more wire and set up the computer.
I will need to input the rear end gear and tire size. I may also connect the tach wire output on the MSD ignition box to the tach wire input to get digital RPM on the control box.
Anyway here is how the the TPS is installed.

I have been wiring up the TPS and power for the UShift transmission controller. it came programmed for my transmission however there are other options.
I need to set the TPS for idle and WOT. also need to input the tire size. hook up the tach wire to the ignition box. Almost ready to drive this thing. :kodak:

So the quick 4 module comes with a shift program installed?
Do you then After setup make (customize)shift adjustments based on your specs?
I was going to call them for details on this but looks like you are just about there.
Just getting my parts list ready to do this.

Yes, They installed an initial set up with a few other selections for future changes like 4l80e normal, 5500rpm, 6000rpm ect. some others that I won't use like w/diesel engine. but you can plug in a lap top and set 4 different programs. adjust shift points, down shift points, fluid pressure for how hard it shifts ect, ect. The unit is pretty damn slick. way smarter then I am. I need to get some lessons on programming. the harness plugs right in too.

Update, I have the USHift completely installed. I ran the wiring harness for the trans and the TPS through the heater box where the other vacuum lines and wires run through. I didn't want to drill the fire wall. the heater box is replaceable.
I have run the engine and trans. I have shift through reverse, overdrive and drive. everything is functioning properly. I haven't been on the open road yet. to see automatic shifting and where the shift point in the standard program are.
here is how I ran the harness's. I ran the mechanical oil and water temp through the same location. I was drilling...

Looks nice! I may have missed it but did you give up on your own programming skill and module?

You may be thinking of Chad black70buick.
Chad was the member building his own module. I don't possess those type of skills or patients. No, I am more of the just add power type. the UShift came pre programed however I did program the TPS and will input the details like gearing and tire size. Then I will look into schooling to utilize all of the options it provides.
I would also add...It's slicker than Gorilla snot.:Brow:

I like the way you ran those wires! My truck has wires running all over the place, wherever my father in law wanted to stick them. I've been cleaning up the fire threats as I go.
