Doing an auto to manual conversion and trying to figure out shifter for Muncie m21

    Hey everyone,
I'm wondering what shifter I can use for my manual conversion. I don't see a specific application listed on hurst's website for a Buick GS 1970, I'm using an m21 trans.
Can I successfully use a 68-72 Chevelle hurst competition plus shifter? I'm not looking for a numbers matching restoration since my car is already a bastard child (originally a 350 car that threw a rod). I haven't cut hole for the floor yet so if I need to move it slightly for the Chevelle shifter I'm ok with that.

The one from an Olds Cutlass of the same period with an H is the same shape as the Buick lever. Do not get one from a 442 because it has the numbers 442 on it.

Do you happen to know if this is the correct part number? 3918014

The lever is way straighter but overall looks like maybe the ball ends up in the same spot? I don't have a console and I have buckets. I'll also have to add the trans hump once I get everything finalized.

I ended up buying a new shifter, rods and bracket from original parts group. I hunted and researched for days and decided the large amount of money was worth not getting a headache. Plus it includes a copy of the 5335 handle.
