This might actually work out for some....

I know a few could not make it on the 9th, hopefully they can on the 30th.

With 50% chance of rain, I sure would not want to get caught driving through a rainstorm with all the crud getting kicked up on my car.

I look forward to a bright and sunny weekend of the 30th.

Me the same I didn't want to leave Dallas in a rain storm. And even if it didn't rain at the track on Saturday it would be very muddy in the pits.

    Just another week away.
Any updates on people going? Man, I am trying to get it all worked out and take the red car. Maybe a little drive and testing this weekend will help us figure it out.

I don't know that the track will allow it? But I'll give you a ride if you don't mind it being a GN?

My oldest son took his girlfriend in the stude last year. Not supposed to go over 100 mph, or quicker than 13 seconds, if i remember correctly, not sure on the numbers for 1/8th mile. She was a little rattled, then 20 minutes later wanted to know if she could go again.

Well David I would take you up on the offer for the ride in the GN but I can't make the 30th. Already had plans the wife set up. So hopefully next year. Thanks very much for the offer though. My car should make over 500 ponies. Just want to experience it before I'm behind the wheel. Also since if I could make it an my car couldn't ya gotta get the most out of it right. Hopefully all this rain will stop for the 30th event. I'm in Mckinney and it just keeps coming. Creeks and the trinity river are all over flowing.

    Not looking good.....

A tremendous storm rolled through last night, and more to follow.
Looks like this will continue through the rest of the week.

Hope all are safe and dry.....

We might need to consider pushing this event off until Late Oct when the weather straightens out and cools down a little.

What about adding "An Air Boat Class?':Brow:
We dodged the Bullet down on this side of town, (SE corner) ground still "Squishes" though when picking up twigs & Branches. Forget about running the Tractor to mow.
(Wasn't out for Yard of the Month anyway)

Be forwarned, the track is potentially up for sale. Friend who frequents the track often told me on Saturday.

Dang. San Antonio tracked closed, and nobody bought it from bankruptcy court. So, street car it is for the red car. It was street legal, so to speak, but now I want to be able to drive it around on a regular basis, and that will require some changes. Oh well.

Well............ if Temple closes in the near future, the event could be held at Texas Motorplex in Ennis.

That track is the next best for being "centrally located".

It is a very nice facility as well.

Phil, What was the name of the old Air Strip we ran @ Waco?
It really was a Wreck, but other than dodging the Cow Paddies, in the shutdown area, it was a Fun track.:eek2:
If it was cleaned, it's all concrete, and was fun.
It was also fun at the Motel, when the Cops came over, & the Drunks in the Parking lot, were less of a Problem than the Kids that were there for some School Competition.
I think Little River is Up For Sale Every Week. I Like the Track, just because it is an Old Skool set up. I heard that they are talking about, or backed it down to an 1/8th which is also OK.

    Kirk posted that on Fb.
He isn't going to dump it, will go to a decent buyer. When it does sell, he won't drop it until it has a place to go.
He wants to get back into a funny car.
