We finally got back to the dyno and I just got off the phone with Bobb Makley from FinshLine Motorsports and we ended up at 695.55 torque @ 5400rpm and 743.34 hp @ 6000 rpm. Here are some of the specs. 12-1 +or-, TA stage2 SE heads, hydraulic roller cam. Don't know the cam specs Bobb had it ground. Gessler did the heads long ago I think they are level 3 or 4 port work and he matched and balanced the SP1 intake. Oliver billet steel rod and Crower billet crank. Peterson vaccum/oil pump setup supplied by SRE along with front motor plate. This will be going in my 1986 Buick Somerset.

It is a pretty mild build. Hope to make lots of passes between freshen ups. My car only weights 2400 with me in it so it should be fairly quick.

    Alan,
Those are nice numbers! That combo should put you sub 9 no issues. Did Bob mention or can you see on the dyno sheet your oil pressure thru the pulls? I have the same oil set up for my Tomahawk. I have my fingers crossed it was steady and you have no swings in pressure..:beers2:

"Should be fairly quick" Now that's funny! That thing should be a real Beast! Can't wait to see it run. Congratulations!

Good talking to you Alan. Looking forward to seeing both your rides making passes. I know you are. Good numbers on both motors.
    See you in B.G.

Frank, Are you going to be at Cecil? If so I'll bring you the dyno sheets. If not I email them to you when I get them. From what I can see it was a nice steady climb throughout the pull.

Bubba, We should be in Dinwiddie for daytime test and tune Oct 3. I'll give you a shout that week and let you know for sure.

    Nice Alan,
I doubt you will even have to touch that motor for a few seasons. Great work.
I too, would be interested in your oil pressure as per my TA block oil pressure thread.
    Cheers

Why did you choose a hyd roller? Just wanted something easy to maintain or just didn't need to go all out? Thanks

    Alan,
I have to work the weekend of Cecil.. I would post them Slimz oil pressure thread. I saw the screen shot on BPG. No shortage of oil pressure.. I never saw a pressure drop. Do you know where bob took the oil pressure reading from? You have to love the Peterson wet/vac system. :TU:

For some reason I can't seem to post and pictures here at V8Buick. I'm not sure where they pulled the reading from but I'll ask Bobb tomorrow when I pick up the engine. He did say he has issues setting the vaccum something I'll look into once we are up and running. I had put a racepack in the car so we can track some of the data and watch the oil pressure when we're hard on the brakes. My friend and competitor runs Indy Mopar stuff and suffered two engine failures that upon further investigation his oil pressure would drop to 0 when he was under braking. Not 100% sure what his oil setup was.

Seriously.... install a MasterLube system. http://www.masterlube.net/home.htm

Never have dry starts or low oil PSI on the big end.
