I was in a photo-taking mood today...got it out before the sun went down and buzzed around the block a couple times with it. Man, it runs great!

I decided to repaint the black recessed areas in the rear insert area...turned out nice. It makes a huge difference.

    Adam,
Fantastic, great attention to detail you have created a "time capsule".
I am finished painting the Blue 2 door. I am looking for sources for the clips for the chrome and stainless.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to meeting you in person and having an opportunity to check out your fantastic 58.
    Regards,
    Art

Art, when I was hanging the stainless trim back on the Limited, I bought a bunch of the generic trim clips at Auto Zone/O'Reilly...all different sizes. You can also get them at CARS, Inc. Probably some available through ebay.

    What a tank!

    It's absolutely gorgeous!

You do fantastic work, I've followed both threads religiously. I wish I had that talent!
My Dad's first car when we came to Canada was a black 58 Super 4door hardtop, he loved the car but couldn't afford the gas and had to sell it after a year. Being an ex-autobahn refugee, he loved to just spank that poor car, but it took it and actually scared him. So I can remember those land-yachts, and there's nothing quite like a big V-8 Buick with a Dynaflow running with the speedo bar bouncing back off of 120 like a ticking watch...

Enjoy that car, I know I would and I'm jealous!

I'm already enjoying it! I took it to its first show this weekend since I put it back together. Felt good to actually have a car there. I still have lots of work to do before the BCA national!

    Adam,
Every time I go up on your site i am impressed with your work product. EXCELLENCE in ACTION.
I can not find anyone in my area that wants to repair my dash pad.
Can you share the name of the people you used?
I also need someone to rebuild my power steering box.
I will probably be driving the car in August.
Thanking you in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Art

Hey Art, thanks for the kind words!

My dash pad fortunately was not cracked or ripped at all. I carefully removed the vinyl and had my normal upholstery guy build the foam back up behind it. I'm not completely satisfied yet, since it is still a bit floppy...but I was in a huge hurry and put him in a big time crunch.

How is the vinyl on your dash pad?

Hey Adam, I may have missed it in a prior post, but are you gonna bring that beauty to Bpg? I would love to see it in person!

Soooo...I may or may not have it at BPG this year, only because I might be transporting the transmission to Jim Hughes in N Ohio on the trip out. I am still having the issue of a sticky "low" gear. I know, it doesn't have gears per se, but that is the feeling I get when driving. Jim said it is because the seals inside are old, and once things warm up, it is fine. I just can't fix it with the thing in the car. I still may just nurse it through another year so I can enjoy it.

I haven't done a thing to it over the Winter, mostly because I had customer cars to keep me busy the whole time. 2 weeks ago, I adjusted the front brakes and greased the bearings.:Do No:

You can put 3 transmissions in that trunk!

Yes, but the transmission that I am needing rebuilt is the one that propels the car!
