    >>Just came in for a minute to grab my camera - there is an issue with the fit of the LED board in the taillight housing. It seems there is a lip on each housing that pushes the board out on an angle on each side preventing it from sitting in flush. As the lip is plastic like the rest of the housing I am going to cut it down to the LED board will sit flush.

Okay, cut the lips down so the LED panels fit flush - unfortunately the pigtail wiring supplied for the passenger side LED board is too short to reach into the trunk so now I have to splice in more wires to extend it.

Okay, I'm done for the night. Finished splicing extra wires onto the passenger side pigtail harness and ran both LED pigtails into the trunk - tomorrow will splice them into the main harness.

I included a few pics - showing the lip which pushed the LED board out, and then the LED board sitting flush after I cut the lip off.

It's done! Finished the wiring and popped in the new electronic flasher, started up the Buick, and LED sequential taillights! I didn't take any more pics yet as it is bright and sunny out. Will take a pic tonight when it is dark - looking forward to taking the Buick out for a spin tonight:grin:

Just took a short video of the new LED sequential taillights in my '72 Buick. Just for kicks I did it side by side with our 2010 Mustang GT's sequential taillights. Here is the video:

I'm gonna be the stick in the mud...I don't care for the look. The Mustang has way better looking lights for the sequential lights. The Buick's look Ricer to me...But, I appreciate the effort and it's your cars and I have no say in it at all.. This coming from a guy who has a Chevelle hood on his Buick...lol

Thats strange. Mine went into place without any trimming involved. You sure you didnt install them upside down? That would account for them not fitting into the housing properly. Just a thought.:Dou:

I had each board on the correct side but the passenger side I flipped accidentally and corrected once I plugged it in. The driver's side was correct on the first try and still bumped on the lip. Not sure I could have played around with the fitment more but perhaps someone else installing them can.

    >>I was wondering if anyone on the board could confirm if the 1970-71 taillight housings even have a lip?
