Yes, but reasonably priced too! I would consider an intake also.Heads depends on winter OT. Pat :beer
da' vote intake about $300.00 sounds reasonable/do-able soon . heads will be iron for awhile , car lookin' . del
Im in.......If this is serious Id pay a R&D deposit as long as it were refundable if this didnt progress in a timely manner!!!!
It looks like heads and intakes could easily be available in spring or summer of 2004. Looks like there is starting to be some good interest so let's keep this list building. I anticipate prices of alittle under $300 for an intake and in the $1500 range for heads, but that is for an assembled head with valves, springs, bronze guides, seals, ready to run. Jim Burek P.A.E. I'll take one of each and if they really make power then I'll be buying 2 sets. But for right now I'll take the heads and intake  Doug
Count me IN! Looks like I really have to find a job now.. As the time gets closer, I'd sure like to know a little more about what's planned, though. Like valve size, CC design, Rocker design, Expected flow numbers, port sizes..... I mean, are these heads going to be like Edelbrock street "Performer" heads, or more like Brodix Track II's ?? And is the intake going to be a milder single plane or more like a Victor Jr? I'd rather spend the $$ for higher RPM race pieces, but do we really know what the target buyer wants? I'd imagine that the design will allow for more porting, etc, but how much more flow do we expect from a stock head? I know, it's likely too early to speculate on most of this - but I'd love to hear any feedback. Thanks!
The price on the heads sound good. I'm tenativly interested, that is, I'd have to see how much better they actually are compared to ported cast ones.
i have just seen this list, but i know T/Aperformance stuff is still going for a pretty penny more than i want to pay vs the sbc/dirt cheap/leave me alone i drive a buick- guys. so what is this all about? i would love to replace my iron intake, what do you have? rob
I am curious about a couple of things. Will we be able to ust the stock type head gaskets on these(Fel-pro,Victor etc)or can we use TA's copper gaskets too?I am not sure about the description that TA uses. They say you have to O-Ring the block and can re-use the copper gaskets over again by annealing the gaskets. What is annealing the gaskets? The second thing is will the stock valvetrain parts work or will aftermarket pieces be needed?I would like to eventually have 3/8 adj.pushrods and roller rockers but they will have to be gotten over a period of time. How about head studs vs.head bolts(ARP of course)? Pat
I don't know if this will be an option or not...but the Caddy 500 heads that Bulldog Perf. recently did, had both a factory style shaft rocker system AND an individual stud/rocker system (ala Chevy, Ford, etc.) as an option!!:bglasses: If you have adj. rockers, you shouldn't need adj. pushrods. One big benefit of an individual stud/rocker setup would be a much cheaper cost!!:TU: You can pick up Scorpion (or other) roller rockers for the Chevy or Ford for low to mid $200's (many ratios available). Rocker studs run about $35...guideplates $20 something. A shaft system would be in the $700 range (most likely).
Scott, I was hoping that they did come with a similar set-up like the Chevy.Indeed, the roller rockers for a SBC are more reasonable priced but,I thought I would look at all the options in case they will be made with the stock set-up.I am anxiously waiting to hear more news to see what is coming. If they will be able to use the sbc pieces the combo's would be almost endless.Replacement parts will be a big factor also.
