I took advantage of the nice weather today and got out to the barn and got the body off the frame. Its headed to be notched, then I can blast it and start on the air ride.

very nice!! i decided against the notch i will probably roll the fender lips however. my 17's already fit nice on the car but the roll should allow me to maybe step up a size or two and that should suit my needs fine. keep up the good work!! :beer

One way to do it, but I just cut my frame into and moved it in the width of the frame right by the front mount for the lower arm. Then I boxed and reinforced the frame and if some one is not real sharp they can't tell the frame has been messed with. Shorten the axle housing the same amount and the top arms are left alone and the geometry stays the same. May be a little more work my way but people can't tell the frame has been cut. It has been through tech a few times at races where tubing and frame alterations are not allowed and passed.

When I can get it on my rack and get some pictures I will post.

I just bought an Eastwood fender roller. When I get the body back on I'll let you know how it works!

Please do! I looked at a Chevelle that was done that way and it looks really nice. This was the easiest way(insert cheapest) to do it. My man goal was to keep the backseat, and get the widest tire I could get under the car and make it sit low.. on a budget. Will see, I might have to eventually just backhalf the pig! By the time I get it done the kids will be grown and gone and I wont need the backseat anyway :TU:

Tyler, those are some old nappy sporstsman's. They arent the size I'm going to run, they are way too wide (29/15.5-15) Actually I borrowed them for the 15x10 wheels they're mounted on so I can do the mock up, I just couldnt resists the photo opp. Were trying for 315/60-15's. But might have to settle for 295/60-15. Guys are running that big of tire but I'm afraid of heights, so its got to sit real low which makes it tight.
