If we were casting the blocks in house at the shop and machining them on our CNC's then I could see it, but we're not. Its up to some other guy, you know exactly what I mean haha.
Ok no fighting guys. Bob I know you were kidding but I still find what you said a little offensive, but Im not taking it seriously because I know your just kiddin around p and that explains 100% why Rod reacted the way he did and I don't blame him. Just maybe don't jump the gun so quick Rod :bla:. He's only sticking up for us as he's basically a part of TA, no different than how I'd stick up for the company. So no dirt throwing please Not really, we're not anything like Bulldog in any shape or form. We've been around for 26 years and when we make something, it happens. May not be instantaneous but it eventually comes.. guaranteed, proven time and time again. We've never started a project that we never finished, we just make wise business decisions and not throw all the money we have into one project, to get it done as fast a possible or whatever the reason may be and sink ourselves doing so. EDIT: To an extent what Bob said haha. Back on topic of the TA block, not name calling or dirt throwing, this whole everyone getting upset over what someone said misunderstanding thing ends here ok? Good :beer ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ohh I do, and as long as you've been here you know Im prolly one of the most un-serious kidders around. Nothing much is sacred to my sense of humor ... but when people's wallets (Friends in fact) have been plundered by DB and then their hopes are again relit ... I know enough not to start in. I think you do too ...
I don't think TA is like Bulldog at all, but that comment about "not having any control" is enough to leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth. That's what I was getting at.
Mine included, hence what I'm trying to pass on. Its not just you guys that feel it, its us too. We're the one that get blamed when there's only so much you can do. Its like the classical example of needing something fixed in your house so you call the plumber or electrician and they say they'll be at your place at 9:00 am and then they never show up or are hours late. We're the homeowner and the foundry/machine shop is the plumber/electrician in the example. We do our best to movie things along, just trying to explain it so everyone can understand that it isn't completely our fault
Maybe negative comments like this towards a respected vendor (family) like TA could be kept to pm's. Chris Skailng
X2.. People who have no intention of ever buying one shouldn't be worried about the people who intend doing business with TA. :TU:
My 10c. I think that people who have laid out coin for the new TA455 should be able to voice their opinion and others should crow in the pen together until they are ready to step up. I have all the faith in TA, that I and others will receive our TA455 blocks. Whether it is profitable for them or not. I have been in business for a while now and as far as im concerned, reputation is as much of an asset as, if not more than cash in the bank. If I have stuffed something up in the field, I will fix it at my expense to protect my reputation. If the block turns out as good as the TA heads I have, I will be very very happy and proud to have taken on such a difficult (living in Oz) and comparitively expensive project. Cheers Royden:beers2:
Ha! that shut em up! you are proud of that? do you know where and about what those exact same sentiments ( "if'n you ain't got no money down, youns should just shut the hell up already" ) were expressed previously? not just your statements, but the statements of several others here? i agree, this is no longer funny. it's pretty sad, actually. and that's why *I* had stopped replying. of course, the statements of TA's customers have no bearing on TA's ability and intent to fill these orders in a timely manner. just as the statements of Bulldog's customers had no bearing on Bradshaw's ability and intent to do so. i still think that TA will come through, in spite of your attempts to recreate history. call me a hopeless optimist. uzzled:
Ok everyone, that's enough of this recent BS. STOP NOW, I don't want to have to resort to deleting whole pages of this crap. But it will happen if necessary. :spank:
Little update: Last I heard the blocks (31 of them I believe) are at the machine shop being machined.:3gears:
Last I heard the blocks (31 of them I believe) are at the machine shop being machined. nice, very nice.
pssssst. you can, ummm, slide that "extra" one my way and then you'll have been right the first time. :beer
Mike, What kind of validation will be done to ensure that each block is cast and machined to your expected criteria? Thanks.
This is a little off topic but that is funny. I've raced radio controlled(the real deal not the toy versions)cars for years and the old saying is nearly word for word except in rc racing it's, "You must be cheating because I am and you're beating me"
