Just a wild idea. Has anyone ran a wagon in F.A.S.T competition? Do they even qualify?

While I know it wouldn't be the fastest car there but it would be fun.

I don't think they're too keen on wagons in the FAST classes. They are o.k. with Ranchero / El Camino though.....

From the F.A.S.T. website: F.A.S.T. racing is for 1955 to 1974 muscle cars

If the field is restricted to musclecars, then why do they allow 'Vettes?
    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

    Wouldn’t a 1969 Buick Sportswagon 400 qualify ?

I'll nuke a bag of popcorn and observe this one 'cause I agree Vettes should have their own class along with the AC Cobras.

I should think any factory big block wagon of any marque would, should, could qualify as a "muscle car". I owned two SW400's and spent a lot of time driving two of Dano's Sportywagons and they all were quite the muscle car, IMO. It was fun looking at the faces of drivers next to or behind, in their modern vehicles, trying to keep up. It was like driving a GS400 with a huge payload area. Not a rocket ship, but, not a slouch, either.

The portion of the rules addressing this:

F.A.S.T. racing is for 1955 to 1979 muscle cars built in United States and Canadian assembly plants.

Factory lightweight cars built for sanctioned drag racing and dealership built/modified cars are not eligible to participate.

Cars must have been originally equipped with a V8 engine, minimum of four-barrel carburetion, dual exhaust, and other factory installed equipment that promotes a high performance image.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

That last part is quite ambiguous "factory installed equipment that promotes a high performance image."?

I guess the duel exhaust requirement knocks the SportyWagons out of contention.
