And Pontiac Challenge. October 16th-17th Cecil County Dragway Maryland Friday the 16th is open to all makes. Shakedown cars are also welcome to come test and tune for the Englishtown event.
David and or John, how big or small is this event? Can you direct me to some links about it.Any input will be appreciated,if I leave from Va it looks like a 4hr drive,I'm considering going as a spectator.PM me or post here.Thanks.
If you want to know how popular this event is please check these Photos!! I am sure your Travel Time will be well worth it!! http://tristategsclub.com/regionals.htm Doug
Hector it gets bigger every year. Cecil in October is probably one of the fastest tracks in the country. In 2007 and 2008 the barometric pressure showed us to be below sea level in the mornings. Every car picks up at least 2 tenths from any other track they've run on. Hope to see you there. :TU:
Thanks for the link Doug. That's the nearest Buick event that I can plan on attending in the near future,I'll try to make it.
I'd just like to do some time shots and possibly get the car sorted out a bit. Is this going to whack me 75 bills to do that? My car is in no way ready to jump into the game and whoop some ass. yet...Any chance I can get something just to try to dial in the car?
Made our reservations this morning. As long as it's not going to rain all weekend, we'll be there, Woody's better be ready for us!
I'm on for Friday and Saturday. Anyone know if I can park trailer and stay with car at the track overnight? My trailer has a sleeper.
That would be great. Not sure if they allow it. If I do get there for friday this would be my concern too. I will probably have an open trailer. I'd probably sleep in my car if I had to!!
you just sold me, I'm gonna try and make it, with my 65 gran sport or without, I'm not sure if I want to make the 150 mile trip with her
Yes.. We've been leaving our cars there for years and there has never been a incident. John Jr had his car stolen from the damn hotel and now we hire a cop to park there from 12-6am. So the hotel is also secured. :TU:
Bring it out. It's always a blast.. Here's what I woke up to 2 years ago. We got to the track and the barometer read 150ft below sea level. :beer
not too far from me, I hope to make it. as I'm not a racer, what will it cost me to come in my cruiser, and just spend the day having fun with other Buick guys?
I'm also like 3 plus hours away but I'. Going to probably rent a trailer if I can't borrow my friends. I'm bringing my 65 Lark.
Paul Ferry, owner of HRParts-n-Stuff will be at our East Coast Regionals October 16 & 17, 2009. If you need anything give Paul a call (330) 947-2433 and he can bring it out this way and it saves you shipping and Paul will be giving a discount for the event as well as another discount for CASH. Paul's stuff is the best out there and just check out how many cars from the Northeast GS/GN Club has his sway bar! I know it made a big difference on Jr's Procharged Skylark. Now is the time to place that order with Paul. http://www.buickperformancegroup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9005
