Mike, here are a few photo's, in a couple of them you can see the metal plates that end up being glassed over after you've got eveything lined up. This was the first time I ever did this type of fabrication, like anything else measure -check and check again. I set the front wrap on jack stands and wood blocks to line it up. Then pop riveted the mounting plates in place and tack welded the support rods to the plates. I had to trim the hood and fender area by the windshield and doors ( front wrap was long ) to get mine in proper position in relation to the front tires. The arrows point to pivot collars that I installed and welded the support rods on, as the horizontal rod they are on is stationary. The end support rods slide into the each end of the main horizontal rod and they pivot. Like you I wasnt sure I wanted to go this way but once I started I knew it was what I wanted. Not sure of the gain I'll get in performance, ( weight ) but I've found the access to any work up front is well worth it. I can easily remove/install or open close it by myself. Hope this helps. Keep me posted...........Mike

poor dirty thing. just got dropped back off from having dual 3" with the xpipe and flowmasters put on it. dam shop parked it under the lift with a snow and mud covered car hanging above it.(little pissed) cant really wash it in the snow before i pull it back in the garage. 455s sure do sound nice with big pipes :TU:

I'd be pissed too! Your car looks pretty straight! You should video tape it as you pull it into the garage then post it here! Easy right? lol... Nice ride

I picked it up at Car Quest auto parts asked for upper hose for 68 GS 400. Sorry I don't have their part number. Lower hose is a flex as it fit best for where I positioned the radiator. Hope this helps. That is a wicked launch pic.........Mike

Hey Dan, I used a upper hose for a 70 GS with a 455. I think the auto parts store showed it as a Skylark with a 455. Not sure about the lower hose though. Hope this helps. Shawn

Thank you to both of you for the hose info. Big help. The picture of the car leaving was at Reynolds 2006. The car kept coming up (all I could see was HOOD!!) somehow I shifted to 2nd and let out of it slowly and it came down without hurting anything. That was a 25lbs of boost launch. I never did that again...LOL:eek2:
    Thanks again, Don
