2007 BPG Buick Horsepower Nationals!! at National Trail Raceway Hebron OH...free Vendor Spots...Tent Rental...Golf Cart Rental...visit website for details
NEW UPDATE NICK MICALE Here is the plan - 2 bracket classes with the break at 11.50. This clearly shows that cars with roll bars/cage should be in the 11.49 and faster. Would like to do a break-out heads up 11.50 and slower class, or a Comp-type class where your dial-in is from qualifying runs. Since I have almost no feed-back on this, we can make an on-the-spot call in Columbus. Here is the confirmed track schedule so far: For the heads-up and S-16 classes, there will be qualifying rounds all 3 days. On Friday and Saturday, we will start about 11 AM to allow guys [and gals!] to set up and get ready for time trials and qualifying. By allowing qualifying all 3 days, we have a better posibility of avoiding weather problems if any. One round of qualifying first out Sunday AM, eliminations at 12:00 noon, just after the driver's meeting. At the driver's meeting we will discuss local track procedures and run order for all classes. Also we can answer questions any driver may have. Also, Thursday is a set-up day for racers and vendors, gates open at 8:00 AM. Please feel free to publish this info where ever you deem appropiate, thanks __________________ Nick Micale 3334 W. I don't have a roll bar at all. Do I have to slow my convertible down to 14.00 to participate?? o No:
From NHRA '07 Rule book "Roll bar mandatory in all cars (including T-tops) running 11.00 to 11.49, in convertibles running 11.00 to 13.49, and in all dune-buggy-type vehicles running 12.00 seconds and slower, Permitted in all cars." <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->__________________

Does anyone have the event schedule that they could post? The BPG site is still down and we are trying to make our plans. Also.... I had read that JC has formally invited the Mopar crew for Friday and "part of Saturday"..... One of my friends is a big Mopar guy and is thinking about bringing is 69 Roadrunner but he'd like to know a little more about what he'll be allowed to do. Will he actually be able to do any racing, or just time trials? Thanks!
The schedule is posted on the bpg forum which was hacked. It'll be up soon and someone will transfer the schedule here. I don't think there is any racing Friday. Just T&T. But whatever it is have him bring the Roadrunner. We'll race him.
There will be a lane for the brand X'ers, but feel free to pick some grudge races amongst yourselves:Brow: It seems that my hosting company has fallen asleep. I couldn't even get through on tech support phone lines last night due to "high call volume". I'm past the point of frustration here.
Thanks guys Regarding the Roadrunner..... When you say "race", do you mean heads up (like a time trial), or will we be able to dial in and actually race? He's detuned his car quite a bit so it's more streetable (swapped heads and cam), but he's still a good whole second faster than me. I think's he's mid-12's nowadays.... And Adam.... Thanks for all your hard work on the BPG site! I can understand you're frustration, but there's not much more you can do. Keep up the great work. :TU:
No, he can test and tune and grudge race but the Buick racing for the money is for Buicks only. How would that look if a Roadrunner won a class at the Buick Nationals? Only way around it that I see is to have him put a 455 Buick engine in the car. But, with the added power, he'd probably start breaking things! :beers2:
Hi John I didn't mean that he would race in the "Buick Races" throughout the weekend... I knew that wouldn't fly! :error: I meant during test and tune.... being able to dial in and grudge race our Buicks against the brand-x lane. (no purse, no records... just for fun) Sounds like we're not doing that. No biggie... I just wanted to clarify so he can make a decision whether he wants to come or not. I guess I'm not sure I know what "grudge racing" means for sure.... :TU:
Rick -- He CAN race against us. That's the fun part. He can call any of us out or vise-versa. Grudge racing at it's best!
I saw that it said free vendor spots... I'm not really a vendor, but I will have a lot of parts for sale that I'd like to bring down. Is there anything I need to do, besides just show up? ________ RHODE ISLAND MARIJUANA DISPENSARIES
Adam, wondering if it's such a good idea to have a link to the forum here, posted on the BPG "site down" screen?
