i have seen these amps before in 1999 i went to the DB drag finals in louisville KY saw and heard some of the loudest car/trucks ever...vechicles that were using zapco amps were hitting over 160 to 170 DB with comp series amps!!!
if you getting into SQ (sound quality) the reference style amps are more for the tuner/audiofile types if your just looking to get sound into your car that is overkill!! they are very solidly built amps will handle just about anything you put to it! maybe you could tell us whick direction you are going with your system?? on a brighter note my 94 rodeo has 2 15" directed compX DVC's and a hifonics brutus 1205D hits easily over 145DB buicks aren't my only hobby!!
good luck and maybe someone has more to add check out www.zapco.com

I'm running a Tisumi GXE 660 amp right now with a CDA-7878 Alpine head unit, Infinity Perfect 10 sub in a Q lodgic box with Eclipce in all four corners. and looking for clear accurate sound. The Tisumi is working for me but looking for something cleaner, AL.

Al the zapco is a huge step up from the tsunami ampand that infinity perfect will love the power!! i have personally seen the inner workings of the amp ...ver solid!! you will be extremely happy with that!!! will post pics or figure out how to anyway soon as my normal computer gets fixed which should be in a few days!! my install is really nothing to write home about just a huge box 2 15's and a nice amp power is never an issue with a 180 amp alt :TU: i'll shhot over pics of it anyway still gotta clean it up a little an get the pics....if you were closer i'd give you a demo of what it can do :beer if i could just get the rearview mirror to stay on :Dou:

Yes! You nailed it! I listen at low and mod levels and want accuracy, and figure Zapco would be better the the Tisumi GXE 660, AL.

Rich, how are the Zapcos on accuracy? That is my main goal. Compared to the Tisumi? Have you herd of a Tisumi GXE 660? AL.

That sounds like a good deal. However, shouldn't our vintage Buicks have tube amps? :)
