Z bar for 1967 GS 400

    I'm asking if someone could post some pictures, part numbers etc of the correct Zbar for 67. I'm really not sure if mine is the right one. I've seen repos in the books but I really don't want to go that route. Jon

    Hey Jon,

    Here ya go buddy. Let me know if you need any more. As you can see, I haven't put a new bushing in yet.

    do u reinforce
    the 90* between the pipe & flat steel?

    It sure seems strong enough as is. It lasted for at least 80k miles (that is what is on the odometer) so far. There was some wear on the hole where the pushrod goes that needed welding up and the bushing was shot.

    Ed would you have any photos of the stock intake manifold vacuum lines and heater hose nipples etc and proper location I'm trying to put my car back to stock but can't find any reference photos thanks again for the help Jon

    Hi Jon

    I will have a look for you. The engine is on a stand. I will be back out in the garage tomorrow.

    Something interesting I found on my 64 special is a grease boot on each end of the Z bar like on a ball joint/tie rod end... ws
