Thanks to YUK I bought some parts from YUK for my 76 Electra and I am very satisfied with the parts I got from him. He also sent the parts in advance to Florida, were I should picked them up at the shipping firm were my Buick were stored. But when I arrived at the firm ,the parts wasnt there, because of the hurricane that had just been passing true this area the post office couldnt delivered the packages since the firm was closed down for a while ,since they had been out of electricity. But YUK traced the package and found out what Post office the parts were stored. And there was also 4 other packages for me at that office. If YUK hadnt checked out this, the packages would have been returned to sender. Thanks YUK :TU: You are a great guy. And thanks to the BUICK V8 forum and the people that participates here, for all the help and advises I have got here. Its a great forum.

thanks guys. i hope the parts last you forever!! it was a pleasure selling to both of you and it made me feel all warm inside to help pete. i got the impression from pete that if you lived next door to him, he would be the neighbor that would happily go ahead and mow your yard for you while he was mowing his own. :laugh: selling the weatherstrips to Michael helped me toss a little mula towards the v8buick board funds. Michael was nice enough to send me the amount of the selling price that i wanted for myself and send the rest to JW for the board. Michael even kicked in some money from himself towards the board at the same time. ... and Michael, i think those felt thingies i included might have something to do with air vents on the dash of some cars! you might want to look into it. and pontchief, i wanna see some nice pics of the electra. you can email them to me at buickragtop74@yahoo.com interaction with these guys was the type of experiences that set this board above and apart from every other www board.
Hi YUK :TU: The Electra really needs a paint job and a new vinyl top and I suppose some welding on the roof around the opera window, because of rust. But I have to finish the 57 Olds and sell it, before I have time and money to do these things. The things I am going to do know is too hot water steam the under carriage and put on some stuff against rust. The car also has a light vibration and noise, so I have to check the drive shaft and rear axle bearings. The heater is also blowing mostly cold air, so I have to check the thermostat. Didnt ever try the heater on my vacation in the US, never needed too. :laugh:
