When it comes to hair bands, I kinda favor this song (although they were a precursor?):

Heard this one last night.....it stands the test of time better than most:

Ugh...."Pour Some Sugar" is when Def Leopard loses it with me. And not into the Scorpions unless Schenker plays guitar. But different strokes for different folks.

Comin under fire is, I think, one of their best songs

I think I was in 11th grade at the time. They were jumping the shark, but I was in this non-commercial mood at the time. In some ways, I've always been that way.

But I can dig a good pop tune....

I'm with ya. My tastes are pretty much all over. Being a 70's kid with older sisters/parents that liked all sorts of different music.
I got hooked on the Beatles. :)

"Pretty Ballerina" was one of Colleen's, my first love/heartbreak, favorite songs at the time.
I liked this a bit better.

Y'know both those songs are from the Jeff Beck era?

Yes. Check out lead Guitar on Heart Full of Soul. Eric Clapton was in the Yardbirds for a time as well. They had a lot of talent run through.
