I agree, but it's a bit like "It's a small world", I have heard it enough times to last me for the rest of my life. I'll also go waayy out on a limb - "My baby left me" was Elvis' best song ever. BTW (This is because I heard it today) Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" is one of my favorites, and perhaps the only piece of progressive jazz to make the top 40. It was number 25 in 1961. I remember listening to it on Boston's WCOP , the major top 40 station in Boston at the time, while I was in high school.
A little Social Distortion......I love the lyrics to this. I think we can all relate, I do especially as I get older: Sometimes I like you and sometimes I don't, I feel like I'm gonna and then I won't. Sometimes I wanna live to see a hundred, other times I wanna lay down and die. [Chorus:] Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't Sometimes I'm weak and sometimes I'm strong, You know that I've loved all along. Sometimes I'm rich and sometimes I'm poor, nothing really matters when you're dead on the floor. [Chorus:] Sometimes I'm hot and sometimes I'm cold, other times I feel like I'm getting old. Sometimes I'm fast and sometimes I'm slow, other times I don't even want to go. [Chorus:] Sometimes I laugh and sometimes I cry, other times I sit and wonder why. Sometimes I'm up and sometimes I'm down, other times I wanna blow this town. [Chorus:] Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't
I have all of SRC's albums. They're pretty underrated. "Checkmate" is prob the best song on their second.
I do love this song, and the message it brings. I could easily cruise down the highway near dusk with this blasting from the Riv or any car
Real, live sans the usual lip-sync of the era when bands were supposed to be playing 'live'. <iframe width="641" height="481" src="" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
One of my favorite back in the day, but obvious lip-sync. <iframe width="655" height="481" src="" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
A little long but interesting about Day the Music died, from Dion's view point who was big in those days also. Feb 9 anniversary.
