I would like to install my electrical sending units for my gauges.

For oil Pressure sending unit I need a T-Fitting, but what about the temperature unit ?

Is there a stock hole in the intake I can use? Maybe you could post a pic from your aftermarket temperature unit on your 340.

    Thanks

    Tom,

You are correct about the oil T fitting and you could probably construct one for the water temperature guage but it would be huge. In my case it was an either/or situation - have an idiot light or a temperature gauge. The temperature gauge sensor is inserted into the same stock intake manifold threaded hole as the idiot light sensor. There really isn't an allowance for a second temperature sensor other than the huge T fitting I mentioned. If you think a photo would help, let me know and I'll post one later today. Regards,

I agree about constructing a T-Fitting for temperature is not the best way..

Thats what I wanted to hear ! :beers2:

I read about some Nailhead-Intakes which have a second hole which can be used for a second sending unit and thought there would be also a second one on my 340 intake.

Im going to use the stock hole and forget about the idiot light.

    Thanks
    Tom
